Description

The Christian evangelization of Canada began in the 17C, and French religious volunteers shared the Gospel along the river banks of New France. Over the next 400 years both clergy and lay Catholic Christians set up missions, parishes, and schools extending from the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts. By the twentieth century, the French, Irish, and Scots had interfaced with the Aboriginals, Europeans, and Asians to establish multicultural Canadian Catholic Christianity.
