Traditionally, Native People did not talk about spirituality or faith, nor did they build complex theologies. They simply lived what had been handed down to them by their elders and families. It was expected that one would live by these teachings in such a way as to acknowledge and honour their Creator. Theology was practice!

Affirming this traditional understanding, NAIITS’ assists Indigenous men and women, established in their communities, to journey down the road of a transformative relationship with Jesus – one which does not require the rejection of their Creator-given social and cultural identity.
