| Description |
This course will introduce key issues in the phenomenon of religious diversity. With globalization and immigration, religious diversity is increasing in North America, and Christian theologians must ask in a new way: what does it mean to be faithful to the confession of Christ as Lord in a religiously plural society? Along with an overview of the practices and beliefs of important world religions, students will critically encounter key voices in the Christian discussion surrounding the nature of non-Christian religious commitment. Students will encounter and assess various perspectives with an eye toward generous reflection on what matters most. |
