Voices from the Margins: Advanced Seminar in Liberation, Political and Contextual Theologies

All students will participate in advanced readings and discussion of 20th Century Liberation, Political, and Contextual Theologies including Feminist, Queer, African, and Asian perspectives with a major focus on liberation method and the use of critical social theories in Theology. Each student will choose and focus on one particular perspective and a major representative author for a final critical research paper. In addition to two hours class participation per week there will be a weekly online seminar on Blackboard with time sensitive posting assignments equal to an additional hour of class contact.
