Supervision in Spiritual Direction Ministry: Theory and Practice

This course is designed to provide an experience for spiritual directors with the goal of strengthening their competencies in supervision. This course will also assist spiritual directors discerning their call to the ministry of supervision. The focus of the course is to enable the supervisor to facilitate the ministry of spiritual directors so that directees recognize and integrate God's presence and direction in every aspect of their lives. The focus of the supervision process is on the spiritual director. This course is organized around a contemplative supervision process for peer groups and individual supervision of spiritual directors. 6-page paper. **Pre-requisite: Diploma in Spiritual Direction students at Regis College; persons with an ongoing ministry of spiritual direction with an M.Div, MAMS, or equivalent spiritual direction formation program; ongoing engagement in spiritual direction; permission of the course instructor. Co-requisite: Diploma in Spiritual Direction students at Regis College, permission of course instructor.BD students;Pass/Fail. For advanced degree students final integration paper; graded; required attendance.
