Description |
The online course Introducing Hebrew Wisdom Literature covers three biblical books in their respective ancient Israelite context: Proverbs, Job, and Ecclesiastes (Qoheleth). Literary-theological analysis of the Wisdom books is supplemented with a study of practical values and insights for contemporary life. The course provides students with the tools to interpret Wisdom texts competently. Methods of evaluation: assigned readings, posts on Discussion Board, two short assignments, and a final paper. |
