Advanced Degree Student Orientation

Held at Emmanuel College, 75 Queen's Park Crescent, Room EM119.

This is an opportunity for new (and returning) Advanced Degree students to attend a variety of presentations and information sessions designed to help new students transition to the Toronto School of Theology.

Students will have the opportunity to learn about the Toronto School of Theology, TST Advanced Degree Student Association, the library system, the AD Office and the AD programs. 

TST Offers Bridge to Conjoint PhD

Doctoral students with a first registration in Fall 2013-2014 or Fall 2014-2015 may apply to participate in a Bridge Program allowing them to take courses meeting requirements for a PhD degree offered conjointly between TST and the University of Toronto. (The PhD program is still pending final approval.) Details and application forms are available from the office of the Graduate Centre for Theological Studies, tstadv.degree@utoronto.ca. The deadline for application is Friday, September 12, 2014.

Job Opening | TST German Language Instructor (2014–2015)

The Toronto School of Theology (TST), affiliated with the University of Toronto, has an immediate opening for a "German Language Instructor" for a non-credit course designed to assist TST graduate students to read and translate German texts for historical, theological, biblical, philosophical and religious studies. The course is conducted in English.

The instructor will be responsible for preparing all course materials, teaching classes, meeting with enrolled students, keeping attendance records, and setting and grading the course final exam. 

A new Doctoral Degree: The Conjoint PhD (in Theological Studies)

TST expects to open a conjoint PhD degree program in Theological Studies to a class entering in September 2015.  “Conjoint” means that the proposed PhD (in Theological Studies) will be offered conjointly by the University of Toronto and six TST member colleges.  It will be administered by TST’s Graduate Centre for Theological Studies.
