If you are paying in US funds please ensure that you are paying the correct amount, as US payments are higher than those paid in Canadian Dollars.
International students using wire transfer must cover all fees from their originating bank plus add an additional $17.50 to the base application fee (as above: total is $117.50 plus all originating bank fees).
Methods of Payment
Visa Credit Card
Visa Credit Cards can be used to make payment either by PayPal (see below), in person or over the phone (MasterCard is not accepted, except for through PayPal). To make a payment in person, please visit the Advanced Degree Office, Toronto School of Theology, 47 Queen’s Park Crescent East, Toronto, ON during regular business hours. To make a payment over the phone, please call 416-978-4050 during regular business hours.
Transactions not authorized by Visa may be subject to a service fee of $25; replacement payment may be required to be made by certified cheque, bank or postal money order. Please ensure that there is sufficient credit availability to cover your payment. NOTE: If you are paying with a US Visa card, please ensure you have contacted your bank to pre-authorize the transaction, or it may be rejected.
Cheque, Money Order, Bank Draft
Payments may be made by cheque, certified cheque, money order or bank draft. All payments should be made payable to “Toronto School of Theology”.
Personal cheques up to a limit of $50 are accepted. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your bank account to cover your payment and allow enough time to allow for mailing (if applicable) and processing. NSF payment will incur a service fee of $25; replacement payment must be made by certified cheque, bank or postal money order. TST reserves the right to cancel the use of this method by any student if it is abused.
International applicants paying by money order or draft must obtain an international money order or draft drawn on a Canadian or US bank (as applicable).

Be sure to include student/applicant name, student number (if applicable), name, and the detail of what the payment is for (e.g. language course, TSpace, application fee, etc.) on the front of the cheque.

The Toronto School of Theology accepts online payment through PayPal. For international students especially, this may be the quickest and easiest method to pay your TST fees. You do not have to have a PayPal account, but can pay through PayPal using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Diners Card.
International Wire Transfer (only for application fees from applicants without a Canadian or US bank account)
Wire transfers are accepted only from banks. The TST does not accept Wire Transfers made through Western Union or other non-bank financial institutions.
Additional fees are payable if paying by wire transfer. A $17.50 wire fee must be added to the base application fee and included in the wire transfer. Additional fees may be charged by the sender’s bank (the issuing bank). Please instruct your bank to charge all these to you directly and not to deduct them from the amount wired. All additional fees are the responsibility of the applicant requesting the wire transfer. The TST will not accept wire payments if all fees are not paid by the sender of the wire.

Be sure to include the applicant’s name. Wire transfers can take up to 10 business days to be received and processed.
Approved refunds will be processed per item policy. Approved refunds of transactions made through PayPal will be made through PayPal up to 60 days after the original transaction date. Refund of transactions made through PayPal beyond 60 days of the original transaction date will be made by cheque to the student in Canadian dollars. Transactions made though other payment options will be made to the payor by cheque in Canadian dollars.
