TST Mourns Former TST Director

We were very sad to learn of the loss of Chris Lind, the Director of TST from 2003 to 2006, who died on the morning of Friday, July 11, after a long struggle with cancer.

New Agreement between TST and the University of Toronto

The relationship between TST and the U of T is defined by a Memorandum of Agreement, which is revised periodically. This document establishes certain mutual obligations, primarily in matters of academic policy, academic services, and financial arrangements. Most importantly, it establishes our regime of conjoint degrees, by which most degrees offered by TST colleges are awarded conjointly by the University of Toronto.

2014 TST Board of Trustees Scholarships and Awards

Margaret E. Fleck Scholarship
Established in honour of the Rev. Margaret E. Fleck, an Anglican priest and graduate of Trinity College. The scholarship is awarded for academic excellence and demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively to the broader community.

Staffing Changes | TST Advanced Degree Offiice

Dear members of the TST community – students, faculty, staff, deans and principals,

TST is currently undergoing some important changes in staffing in the TST Advanced Degree Office. After over four years of dedicated service to the TST AD Office, Ms. Jenn Neufeld has tendered her resignation effective May 1, 2014. She will be joining Emmanuel College as their new Recruitment Coordinator and Admissions Counsellor.

Alan Hayes Reappointed TST Director

A message from Robert McElhinney, Chair, Board of Trustees, TST

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Toronto School of Theology I am delighted to announce that the Reverend Doctor Alan Hayes has been reappointed as Director for a new five year term from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2019.

Director of Graduate Center Is Appointed

TST has appointed Professor Jaroslav Skira the Director of the Graduate Centre for Theological Studies (GCTS) for an initial five-year term.

Professor Skira teaches historical theology at Regis College, and has authored numerous books and articles in the area. His interests include the Eastern Orthodox tradition, Eastern Rite Roman Catholicism, iconography, and ecumenism.

The GCTS was established in 2013 to administer TST’s graduate advanced degree programs.
