TST Offers Bridge to Conjoint PhD

Doctoral students with a first registration in Fall 2013-2014 or Fall 2014-2015 may apply to participate in a Bridge Program allowing them to take courses meeting requirements for a PhD degree offered conjointly between TST and the University of Toronto. (The PhD program is still pending final approval.) Details and application forms are available from the office of the Graduate Centre for Theological Studies, tstadv.degree@utoronto.ca. The deadline for application is Friday, September 12, 2014.

Advanced Degree Administrator Appointed

TST is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. David Wagschal as Advanced Degree Administrator and Assistant Registrar. David fills the vacancy created when Jenn Neufeld accepted an appointment at Emmanuel College. Dr. Wagschal has a PhD from the University of Durham, and has been an adjunct instructor at Trinity College. He was formerly Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at St. Vladimir’s Seminary, Yonkers, New York.

TST Mourns Former TST Director

We were very sad to learn of the loss of Chris Lind, the Director of the Toronto School of Theology (TST) from 2003 to 2006, who died on the morning of Friday, July 11, after a long struggle with cancer.

New Agreement between TST and the University of Toronto

The relationship between the Toronto School of Theology (TST) and the University of Toronto is defined by a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), which is revised periodically. This document establishes certain mutual obligations, primarily in matters of academic policy, academic services, and financial arrangements. Most importantly, it establishes our regime of conjoint degrees, by which most degrees offered by TST member colleges are awarded conjointly by the University of Toronto.

2014 TST Board of Trustees Scholarships and Awards

Margaret E. Fleck Scholarship
Established in honour of the Rev. Margaret E. Fleck, an Anglican priest and graduate of Trinity College. The scholarship is awarded for academic excellence and demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively to the broader community.
