A key finding is that the number of academic positions increased markedly from 2010 to 2011, and plateaued in 2012. A typical new position is a full-time tenure-track appointment. However, the report indicates that non-tenure-track positions are probably under-reported.

Preparations are well under way to welcome over 250,000 visitors, 20,000 volunteers and 7,000 athletes and officials for this summer’s Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games and Parapan Am Games. The University of Toronto’s St. George (downtown) and Scarborough campuses will be home to several of these events.
